With well over 100 embassies, high commissions and consulates in the Nation’s Capital, Ottawa truly is host to the world. Primarily concentrated in Centretown, Sandy Hill and Lowertown/Rockcliffe Park, each embassy offers a variety of services for new immigrants to Canada or Canadians wishing to travel, work or immigrate abroad, such as obtaining passports, visas, residence permits, etc. Many embassies also offer cultural events either at the embassy or elsewhere, so be sure to check out their Web sites for any events listings they may be offering.
