Public use of the MLS derives directly from the Real Estate Board. OREB, The Ottawa Real Estate Board, manages and oversees this site. The Brokerage Industry website, the MLXchange, is used for data input and as a professional search engine for Licensed Real Estate Professionals. This professional search tool filters information to the MLS which allows the public to surf through limited publicly posted information about listings in pertinent areas and price ranges.
For the purpose of scrutiny, posted MLS listings are not immediate or with “full” access to the same detail as Brokers or Sales Representatives. It does however provide a wonderful tool to build perspective.
Ask your OLH Agent about the Auto Delivery on the Flash Listing system available through licensed Board Registration. It a simple step in the right direction, especially for Buyers. Your search criteria is inputted into the Brokerage access engine, and then each time a listing (which falls into the category of your criteria) is posted to the MLX, it is directly delivered to your email of choice.
