It’d be easy to write off the Ottawa Redblacks for what will be the final two games of their Canadian Football League season; with just two wins, they haven’t given RNation much reason for optimism.
They’ll face the Toronto Argonauts, then, after a bye week, the Montreal Alouettes — two teams that are battling for top spot in the East Division. So both teams should be highly motivated.
The Redblacks? Motivation won’t come in fighting for a playoff spot. Like they were too early in a horrible 3-15 season in 2019, the Redblacks are done like dinner. It doesn’t mean you won’t see effort. Some of these guys are battling for their CFL lives; a spot on a CFL roster comes and goes. There’s not much consolation in a better effort, but there were some positives in Friday’s 26-13 loss to the Calgary Stampeders at TD Place stadium.
