Canadian International fullback Michael Petrasso has joined Ottawa Fury FC on loan from the Montreal Impact of Major League Soccer.
Prior to joining the Impact in January, Petrasso, 22, had been part of English club Queens Park Rangers F.C. for the past six years. He appeared in 11 games in the Championship, England’s second division, in one FA Cup game and one EFL Cup game.
Following a spell of loans, he recorded five goals and two assists in 29 League One games, England’s third division, and played a total of 1,903 minutes for Oldham Athletic, Coventry City, Leyton Orient and Notts County. He also took part in five FA Cup games, one EFL Cup game and three EFL Trophy games.
The Toronto native had joined QPR’s academy in 2012 after spending two years with the Toronto FC Academy. On the international stage, Petrasso has represented Canada in eight matches, including seven starts.
Fury FC will host the Impact Sept. 7 at TD Place for the inaugural CapCity Cup friendly.
