Tickets for some long-anticipated National Arts Centre performances, including The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s The Nutcracker, Handel’s Messiah and the first play of a co-curation arrangement with Montreal’s Black Theatre Workshop, go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday.
As the NAC gradually moves to full-capacity events, tickets will be available in batches, with the first lot giving access to performances between December and Feb. 13. Among these are perennially popular seasonal orchestra offerings such as Handel’s Messiah, conducted by Bernard Labadie and featuring La Chapelle de Québec, slated for Dec. 15-16, and the Royal Winnipeg’s Canadiana-infused production of The Nutcracker on Dec. 3-5.
